November 17: In honor of the 144th Anniversary of the birth of Voltairine de Cleyre, we are posting a newly redone website with new design and organization, new materials on theEssay page, including many new essays, poems, and other new resources, and new links on the Resources page. For our commemoration of VDC, click here.

August 11: We now have a direct link on our top page to the Voltairine de Cleyre page on Facebook. Check there for frequent updates, including essays, quotes and links to VDC material on other websites. Show your support for VDC by "liking" the page [clicking on the "like" button, for those of you unfamiliar with Facebook]. Click here to go directly to the Facebook page.

Supporters of VDC may also be interested in the Facebook page Women Resisters to Authority. It highlights many brave women who were (or are) willing to stand up to the authority of the State, including historical figures such as the women abolitionists, freethinkers, sex radicals, suffragists, anarchists, and women of color. It also includes contemporary resisters to oppressive regimes. It is administered by Sharon Presley; supporters are urged to suggest new additions.
