Resisters to Authority. It highlights many brave women who were (or
are) willing to stand up to the authority of the State, including
historical figures such as the women abolitionists, freethinkers, sex
radicals, suffragists, anarchists, and women of color. It also includes
contemporary resisters to oppressive regimes. It is administered
by Sharon Presley; supporters are urged to suggest new additions.

2005:
September 8: The sad and tragic
aftermath of Hurricane Katrina once again illustrates the fact that
government does not protect those it is supposed to serve. Read first
hand accounts by residents of New Orleans provided by anarchist
feminist Kate, herself a displaced resident. Read how government
agencies not only failed to provide support but also interfered with
private efforts to help those in need. Voltairine would not be
surprised. She would weep. Click here: Katrina
and the State.
