The Calendar is striking and very professional-looking, with photos of prominent atheists on each month. Voltairine, whose birthday is November 17, is featured for November. Other photos include Ernestine Rose, H.L. Mencken, Percy Bysshe Shelley and Ernest Hemingway. Annotations about each are included. Each month has the birthdays of other well-known people who were atheists, ranging from Jean Paul Sartre to Gene Roddenberry., from Rodney Dangerfield to Marie Curie and many more. We especially appreciate the fact that not only were two amazing women chosen for the photos--Rose and De Cleyre--but also that many prominent women atheists were included in the birthday annotations. In the past, there have been anthologies of American atheists that scarcely mention any of the women.
